Job Description
Our top tier Investment Banking client has an urgent requirement for an Excel specialist to join Business Unit Control (BUC) to work in a team of 10 whose main function is to perform independent price testing for the Structured Credit businesses.
The primary role of the group is the valuation of structured credit products such as FTD s, CDO s, volatility products and hybrid products and the calculation of model based reserve.
The successful candidate will need to bring a good working knowledge of all Excel based applications as well as SQL, XML and Database applications
The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Work in a team of specialist structured credit valuation controllers
* Catalogue, document and put in place versioning control around the existing spreadsheet environment
* Further analyse and action any remedial work as necessary.
* Develop where necessary new tools and processes to further automate the process.
* Liaise with Front Office quants, Front Office IT, Finance IT and CTB (Change the Bank).
Experience and background
* Broad experience in all Excel based products
* SQL
* XML
* Database applications
* Good interpersonal skills
* Self starter
* Numerate
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
