Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading financial organisation an Accounts Administrator.

My client is seeking candidates with excellent numerical and analytical skills, good written and verbal communication who are self motivated and calm under pressure.

Knowledge of accounting or previous bookkeeping/cashiering experience would be an advantage.

Fixed term contract – September 2010 – June 2011

Responsibilities will include:

To ensure that all payments received are allocated accurately on day of receipt – and where not they are recorded and managed in line with procedures. To ensure all payment issues are accurate and timely, to include authorising daily Validation report and cheque payments. To ensure that relevant bank accounts are reconciled daily – rectifying any discrepancies as they arise. Ensure that all telephone queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently. Ensure all correspondence (email/faxes/letters) is dealt with within 24 hours of receipt. Review all processes and procedures regularly to ensure they are always compliant and streamlined. Proactively recommend and involve yourself in projects to streamline the Department and improve efficiencies Liaise with Finance on a regular basis to ensure that all tasks that can be managed within Accounts are done so and their requirements are being met.

The salary is between £17,500 - £24,000 depending on experience plus full company benefits.
