Job Description
Construction Manager
Mechanical, Electrical and Communications elements within Major Railway Station Project.
Salary - £48,000 / £58,000 pa depending upon skills and experience.
Plus excellent benefits package.
Location - London.
A Senior Construction Manager with excellent communication skills is required to join a stations and civil works project team, consisting of Contractors, Designers and Project staff with the support of a central Consent, Environment & Property team.
This position offers varied work load and the chance to influence successful outcome of some challenging projects, within constrained environments, listed Heritage status requiring excellent communication skills involving many and varied stakeholders.
We seek a highly dependable, motivated, inspired and dynamic individual processing the following skills and experience:-
Construction experience within the mechanical / electrical / communications elements of heavy civil & building railway project.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to gain a quick understanding of customer requirements and develop strong relationships within the team, company and externally with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
Team leadership within multi-discipline site management team on major projects together with the management of principal contractor and their subcontractors.
An understanding of construction health, safety and environmental issues.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
NEBOSH construction certificate.
CSCS / CITB scheme together with auditing competence.
Able to understand and interrogate quality documents and standards.
HNC or equivalent in construction or a relevant engineering discipline.
Responsibilities will include
Management of a team of site managers to ensure all works are implemented to the required standard in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
Using construction industry experience, including knowledge of CDM Regulations, work closely and support Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial Managers and Planners.
Regular reports to all relevant stakeholders on the progress of the project to enable completion and delivery of the programme.
